Catherine Benoît Norris directs the Social Hotspots Database project at NewEarth B where she is COO and lead the consulting and training services offering.
Catherine is a leader in the field of Social Life Cycle Assessment, having edited and co-edited several of the liminal publications and co-created the first social impact database, the Social Hotspots Database. She also leads social impact research at New Earth and is a senior research associate at Harvard School of Public Health, Center for Health and the Global Environment, Sustainability and Health Initiative for NetPositive enterprise (SHINE).
Catherine directed, coordinated research and stakeholder consultation for several highly-praised sustainability centers (CIRAIG, The Sustainability Consortium) and has years of deep engagement and expertise in international sustainability initiatives involving external stakeholders conducting peer reviews and engaging with different viewpoints (GSCP, SPLC, GISR, S&L Convergence project, UN Environment, Social LC Alliance). Catherine also has an extensive background in ethical compliance and human rights due diligence. Catherine teaches about social responsibility in product supply chains at Harvard Extension school. She has a PhD in Business administration from University of Quebec At Montreal.
